In june of 1986, a fifteen year old kid with a passion for food, independence, and stable employment knocked on the back door of the landmark Lexington restaurant in St. Paul. The infamous restaurant manager and WWII veteran Don Ryan opened the door, sized up the applicant, and snorted “come back at 4:30.”
Since that fateful day, I’ve worked for some fantastic restaurants and foodservice wholesalers. I have seen the birth and death of more than a few stylish culinary trends. Real Meal Delicatessen is a concept formed from my experience.
The goal at Real Meal Deli is to provide our customers with fresh, affordable, delicious, and minimally processed menu items. I believe this will never go out of style.
